Inktober Art

Like many artists during the month of October, I did some Inktober challenges. However, for the Inktober challenges I did, I wanted to make it themed to the month of October. More importantly the day of Halloween. Since Halloween involved wearing a costume, I wanted to make a list of costumes that have it's own category like superheroes and princesses. I wanted to make the month to be a practice time for me to draw characters from pop culture because to me I felt like it helps to learn the shapes of character heads and the eye shapes. While also trying out shading with different ink pen brushes.

Growing up I watched the Simpsons. Matt Groening's show was really creative using satire of everyday life. One of my Inktober days was in the theme of a clown. So I chose to draw Krusty the Clown from the show.

One of the characters on my custom list was having a day to draw a princess. I chose to draw Princess Nausicaa for the theme. She's one of those princess out there that give the official title to the phrase royal leader. She leads the people of the valley of the wind. When I was drawing her I couldn't help but think of her mask like a saggy old hound dog face when I saw the movie.
